Apprenticeships
Delivering a solution to the UK’s tech skills gap
The UK’s digital skills gap is huge, born out of a surge in tech businesses and entrepreneurs wishing to capitalise on the digital world we live in today.
The war for talent means finding your next generation of digital super stars is becoming harder and harder. Recruitment agencies are expensive and struggle to source talent, the ‘traditional’ apprenticeship model doesn’t suit the fast-paced demands of technology and University graduates lack commercial awareness after their 3 years of training.
That’s where Code Nation’s tech talent heroes come in.
Our solution enables us to work directly with employers in need of talent to engineer business-led training courses. We’re laser-focused on the demands of the technical landscape and understand what modern businesses need from their new recruits.
Our approach not only meets, but exceeds, the Software Developer Apprenticeship Standard and we can create the talent you’ve been dreaming of with zero fees.

Our Approach
All apprentices will commence their 15-month programme by completing our 12 week coding bootcamp. They’ll have the option to study in one of our state of the art campuses or via our virtual learning environment.
Business Readiness
During their 12 weeks on the bootcamp, apprentices will cover the interpersonal skills, professional know-how and technical expertise they need before they join their employer in the workplace so they can make an immediate impact.
Tailored Training
Employers have the ability to tailor the training of their apprentice, meaning they will become familiar with their tech stack, ways of working and current projects whilst they complete the bootcamp. That’s all of their off-the-job training completed upfront.
Ongoing Support
Apprentices are supported by their Skills Coach after the bootcamp is complete. Monthly face-to-face or virtual catch-ups, contact at any time and three comprehensive workshops help them grow their skills further and complement the training received from their employer. All apprentices have access to Plural Site for the remaining 12 months of the programme.
Certification
The final part of the apprenticeship is becoming certified and gaining a qualification to be proud of. All apprentices sit the ‘Microsoft Exam 70-480: Programming with HTML5, JavaScript and CSS3’, the ‘BCS Methodologies’ and ‘BSC Level 4 End Point Assessment’ as part of their qualification. Apprentices are also assessed on their projects throughout their time on the bootcamp.
Creating employable talent that businesses will love
Pledgers are the businesses who work with us to create their next generation of tech talent. They help us to shape what we teach, ensuring our curriculum is always relevant and students have everything they need to thrive in the working world. Our Pledgers have access to our students before anyone else, and hire them with no recruitment fees. These are just a few of the businesses who find their future talent at Code Nation.

Look smarter and tap into a tech talent pool like no other. Thanks to a course that’s shaped by the demands of employers, our graduates are technically mature, commercially aware and exposed to industry practice from day 1. That’s why over 200 businesses find their new Software Developers at Code Nation.
