About Us
Creating employable talent
That’s what we do. And we make it happen by providing innovative courses that focus on the core drivers of employability: technical skills (such as software development, cyber security and data and analytics), business skills (understanding key tools and processes) and personal skills (mindfulness and communication).

Look smarter and tap into a tech talent pool like no other. Thanks to a course that’s shaped by the demands of employers, our graduates are technically mature, commercially aware and exposed to industry practice from day 1. That’s why over 200 businesses find their new Software Developers at Code Nation.
We’re pioneers in a new way to source and place digital talent and we think you’re going to love it.
Andy Lord – Founder and CEO

Our Credentials

Our Story
Code Nation was founded by Andy Lord and David Muir. With years of experience in the tech sector under their belts and partnerships with hundreds of businesses and digital transformation projects to their names, they came to the same conclusion about the core problem the industry faced: a need to create more business-ready talent.

When developing a solution, Andy and Dave were inspired by Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, who said that success is not about understanding what will change in the future, but what won’t. In education, those things are: employability, accessibility, student experience and personalisation.
By excelling in these areas, learning programmes can be devised that offer students long-term job prospects and businesses lasting solutions to the skills shortage.
To create these programmes, Andy and David teamed up with Stuart Kirby, whose experience in education and the tech sector allowed us to craft a curriculum that delivers on our promise to create employable talent.
Beginning in Manchester with a single course, Code Nation has now expanded to teach a broad range of subjects from campuses based in major cities around the UK, as well as becoming the single largest Software Development Apprenticeship providers in the UK.
And guess what: we’re just getting started!
